Simplify Mom Life

Keeping your bathroom clean is about to get a whole lot easier! By the end of this blog post, everything that is in your bathroom is going to be something that you actually use. Not only that, but it’s going to be well organized and sparkling clean.

The easiest way to declutter, organize, and deep clean your bathroom is to declutter anything you haven’t used in the last month. Then, organize and deep clean what you are left with.

This is just the basic answer, so let’s dive into it a little bit more!

The easiest way to declutter your bathroom

The easiest way to declutter your bathroom is to imagine that you are going on vacation. Declutter any beauty, hair, or personal hygiene products you wouldn’t bring with you. If there is anything else in your bathroom that you haven’t used in the last month or have duplicates of, declutter those items as well.

This includes bath toys, towels, brushes, mirrors, fingernail clippers, etc., You want everything in your bathroom to be things that are actually being used and things that belong in there.

If you have spent a large amount of money on items that you haven’t used or no longer use, don’t let guilt stop you from decluttering it. If you remove the item, it will remove the guilt you feel every time you see it. Free yourself from your possessions and let it go!

Another important thing to declutter in your bathroom is home decor. You want your surfaces to be as cleared off as possible, so it is easy to keep your bathroom clean. I challenge you to try to remove as much decor as possible and see how much easier it is to keep your bathroom clean!

the easiest way to organize your bathroom

The easiest way to organize your bathroom is to declutter first. Then, using the cupboards and drawers as a limit, make sure everything has a designated spot and fits comfortably when put away.

If you don’t have enough space in your cupboards or drawers, consider using shelves instead of storing items on your surfaces. If you still struggle with finding the space, you can put excess toilet paper, towels, or any duplicates in a hallway closet if you have one.

Once you have everything put away, you can use drawer organizers in your drawers. They don’t have to be fancy! The idea is to be realistic with what you actually use and to have everything comfortably fit wherever it is put away.

the easiest way to deep clean your bathroom

  1. Do a quick tidy and get your cleaning supplies ready. A duster, cleaning spray, rags, window spray, vacuum, broom, and mop.
  2. Dust everything from top to bottom. Start with the light fixture and vent fan and then move across the ceiling and down the walls (Including blinds).
  3. Spray and wipe everything from the light fixture down to the floor. This includes window tracks, blinds, doors, and baseboards. Don’t forget to vacuum and wipe down any drawers or shelves on your way down.
  4. Scrub your sink, toilet, and shower. You might have wiped it down already, but make sure they get a good scrub.
  5. Wash your windows and mirrors.
  6. Throw your curtains, rugs, and shower curtain in the washer.
  7. Sweep and mop the floors.
